Happy New Year to you. I wanted to write to thank you so very much for your incredible generosity and kindness. I absolutely loved spending time with you and meeting your amazing team and fascinating patients. I am so glad that Joe introduced me to you but you have been far too good to me! It is because of people like you that I am so excited by the career I have in front of me and I hope that I have the opportunity to be as helpful to the next generation of doctors as you have been to me. Although there are huge differences between the way in which medicine is practiced in the UK and the US, there are a great number of lessons I will take back with me. I had prostate problems and had a microwave treatment to reduce the size of the prostate gland. I used to get up 4-6 times a night. I now get up only once a night. I am a very happy and satisfied patient.

Neil, thank you so much for seeing XXXX. I made 8 phone calls trying to get XXXX in to the LSU urology department and kept getting the run around. Googled urologists in New Orleans and your name popped up. I remembered reading a book you wrote several years ago about marketing your medical practice, so I figured I would put your staff to the test. Called your office, a very polite lady named Maria answered the phone, explained the situation (XXXX had already missed her first three days of med school and had very specific times when she could come in for an appointment, was a new patient, etc). She checked availability, arranged for an appointment the next day. I have to say I was most impressed!!!!!!! You have a very well run office. I will pass the message about the anemia to my sister and have XXXX get her lab rechecked in a few weeks. She was started on Bactrim in the ED but kept vomiting, her temp spiked to 102 Friday night and I called in some Macrobid instead which she was able to tolerate. I very much appreciate your kindness in seeing XXXX. Have a wonderful day.

Anyone considering urological advice should consult with Dr. Neil Baum. As a surgical sales representative, I saw both the patient and the doctor side of things and fell that Dr. Baum provides the absolute best care of any urologist is the southeastern United States. Dr. Baum is "the bomb" of doctors as all his energy is focused on providing the highest level of care to his patients.

Ode to the Whiz
18 months ago I walked through Dr. Baum’s door,
I wasn’t so sure about him, he seemed like a bore.
My first big test was the ‘Harvey Trick’,
I don’t mean to brag but I learned it damn quick.
The second test was the mouse and cheese,
They call that a level 4 puzzle, oh please!
Okay, I’m done bragging about me,
